Liverano & Liverano Bespoke
My last, for now, trunk show with Liverano & Liverano at The Armoury Hong Kong is coming up in a few weeks - from the 23rd through the 26th of July. A few days later, on the 31st, I will work my last day, hand in my keys and depart for the next chapter of my life. My career has had many chapters, none more or less significant, but every stage is an education, every challenge a teacher.
I have been so privileged to have worked with Antonio and his team these past few years, and I have learnt a tremendous amount from them. Antonio’s experience is second to none, more than sixty years making Florentine garments, shaping the Florentine aesthetic that future generations will know. His contribution to his craft deserves more than I could ever bestow upon him, but I vote with my dollars and commission more tweeds and flannels that Hong Kong won’t let me wear.
If you are in Hong Kong this month, and are passionate about craft and history, come by The Armoury and meet Antonio. Order a coat, or a tweed jacket, or a three piece suit. Take home a copy of ‘I colori di Antonio’ - the picture above was taken during the filming of it, as my terrible moustache can testify. Order something old, and heavy, a piece for sitting on cold stone steps in Florence in the winter. I will thank you myself, and you will thank me every time you wear it, for many years to come.
You are a gentleman and a scholar, and I wish you luck in your future endeavors. If you should find yourself in San Francisco, please visit me at the Leica store.
